The Truth behind Tsuboichi: The Search for Excellence
What is important is not that we train specialists in tea so much as the fact that working at Tsuboichi will gradually make one a specialist in tea.
It’s not easy to be certified as a tea appraiser. Much knowledge and skill must be acquired.
But the real specialist is someone with a Tsuboichi's Passion for excellence. How can tea be made better? What kind of service will make the customer happy? These are the kind of questions they should continually be asking. And as they steadily accumulate experience, one naturally acquires the knowledge and skill needed to be a specialist.

Determination that comes from Sticking with it
By working at Tsuboichi, we gain companions. Those companions encourage us and motivate us. That motivation leads to positive action, from which we gain confidence and courage. That confidence and courage makes good tea, and leads to the customer saying the words, “It tastes great!” And because of those words, we gain more confidence, which leads us to the ongoing pursuit of making great-tasting tea. Even today, we and our friends are working hard to make great-tasting tea. In this way, as we steadily accumulate experience, when you drink Tsuboichi tea, it gives you a feeling of relaxation and peace. Above all, that gives us real pleasure and we believe it spreads the seeds of joy all over the world. |

A word from the president
 |
 |
At Tsuboichi, there is no one whose job is to serve tea. Whenever someone visits any of our staff, we serve tea for them ourselves. And even though I am president, it is the same for me, as well. When someone comes to visit me, I serve them tea.
That is because serving tea is never just proper etiquette. We believe that it shows our attitude toward the other person. This attitude should be one of respect, kindness, friendliness, love and thanks. Also, this attitude should be reflected in each and every product we make, and we want everyone to feel it when they drink Tsuboichi tea. At the same time, we hope that the attitude we gain from serving tea to the person in front of us will make difference in our world, no matter how small. It is to this end that we continue to do our best. |
